Team Redstone Display Installed at Huntsville Airport
Redstone Arsenal is the largest economic engine in the Tennessee Valley, but to those who don’t have a badge to get on the installation, it can be a mystery of acronyms and military jargon.
That was the challenge Media Fusion faced when they were selected as the contractor to create an exhibit, located at the airport, which would communicate the organizational missions, programs and synergy of over 50 Redstone Arsenal organizations collectively known as Team Redstone.
"One of the many strengths of Redstone Arsenal is the diversity of organizations located on the installation." said Richard Williams, Manager of the project. "Unfortunately, that same strength is also a weakness when you are trying to communicate a concise message to the untrained public." What started out as a jumble of acronyms and equipment became clear once Media Fusion sat down with each member organization. "Although each Team Redstone organization has their unique offering, what came out in our meetings was an absolute devotion to supporting the soldier in the field, also known as 'the Warfighter'", said Mr. Williams. "It was very inspiring and we knew that personal message had to come through in the project."
The result is a 20 foot display that was recently unveiled at the new wing of the Huntsville International Airport. "The central part of the display features larger-than-life video's of real people from a wide variety of Team Redstone organizations. "Set against a dramatic backdrop these people tell the story of why their job is important to them and their country." said Tim McElyea, President of Media Fusion. "These are not actors, but real people from a broad cross section of professions that feel an emotional connection to the Warfighter." The exhibit also features an interactive area that enables visitors to find out more about member organizations by searching through an interactive directory that organizes Team Redstone in terms that the general public can understand.
